Updated Lash Extension Pictures

Holy Moly! I may take down the pictures I have of the first few full sets that I did. Looking back on them a year later, they are not good! Haha. I can't believe how far I have come with my skill and technique. It's extremely encouraging! Maybe I should leave them up though? As a reminder that hard work and dedication pays off!

When I first started doing eyelash extensions, it used to take me 2-3 hours to put on around 30-45 individual extensions. Now I usually put on 70-90 in an hour or hour and a half. That's crazy!

I want to show some pictures of how eyelash extensions can enhance your eyes. These are all my work :)

Take a look at this one! On the left you can see her natural lashes, and on the right is the eye with extensions. What a difference it makes!

Before (different client)

After

(Sorry for the bad lighting!) But here is a before pic

And after! Even though hers look very soft and natural, look how they open up her eyes!

I don't have a before pic of this one, but look at how long and luxurious they look!

A year later, I am still very much enjoying what I do. I feel blessed that I love what I do. It doesn't even really feel like a job. I basically get to go to work and make women feel pretty all day. It's the best feeling!

Hurr Did

Got bored with my hair and decided to change it up...

Check it out!

Not sure how long the bangs will last, but so far I'm liking it. It's a nice change :)

Latest Tattoo

For the past year or so, God has revealed a particular verse to me, time and time again. Psalms 139:14 "I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well."

A few months ago, I was talking about this with Kevin on our way to church. I was sharing with him that whenever I feel like the enemy is attacking me, that this verse always comes to mind and the negative thoughts go away. About 30 minutes later in church, the pastor mentioned this very same verse. I just thought to myself...Wow, God! You are so good!

I wanted to get this verse tattooed in a place where it could be a constant reminder that God made me! God designed me and I am his daughter. He planned perfectly that I would have little freckles on my nose, that my eyes would look like big chocolate chips, and that my teeth would resemble little chiclets. (I am not putting myself down with these silly comments. I love these small features make me, ME!) :)

Quick trip

Wow, looking back at my first few full sets I can see that my work has come a LONG way! I will do my best to post my latest pictures :)

I'm leaving for California tomorrow morning and I'm happy that I will be able to get out of the cold rain even if it's only for a quick trip. The main reason of the trip is that I am getting trained and certified in airbrush spray tanning in LA. I'm really excited for this and think it's going to be a really great service to offer in my upcoming business (more about that later). My parents have a place in Palm Springs and I figured since I was flying down there that I might as well have some fun too! So my friend Kristin and I are flying into Palm Springs to visit my parents for 2 nights, then we will drive into LA friday morning to spend 2 days in DISNEYLAND!! (I am a complete Disneyland FREAK! When I worked for Alaska Airlines I used to have a season pass and would go there all the time. Sometimes even just fly down for the day. It was awesome and I miss it so much!) Sunday, I have the training all day long and after we will drive back to Palm Springs for one more night  and leave the following morning.

Lash Me Lady!

I recently went down to Portland Oregon a few weeks ago to get trained in doing eyelash extensions. After being trained I have been working on people and loving every minute of it!

If you are unfamiliar with eyelash extensions, they are single curved synthetic strands that are one by one applied to each individual natural eyelash. They replicate the look of natural lashes only more beautiful and dramatic.

I have been doing them non stop since! I thoroughly enjoy doing them and am very excited to offer this service to my future clients.

Here's some pics of my work:

I have done about 13 full sets so far and have many more people to work on :) I haven't taken before and after photos of everyone because frankly, I've been awfully forgetful lately. I've been the busiest that I have ever been in my entire life, but it's all to set me up for the future. Things should hopefully settle down a bit come January.

Have I mentioned that I have the greatest husband?

Kevin is the sweetest! I am so incredibly blessed by him. He has been so supportive through everything and it's so encouraging!

On Sunday we were at Costco and we passed by the Harry Potter Wizard's collection. I had been coveting this since I heard about it earlier this year, but it's so expensive! Kevin just looked at me, grabbed the box and put it in our cart. Of course by that point I was squealing and jumping up and down! Ahhhhhhhhhh!!

He said it was a "Thank you" for putting up with all of his crazy long hours of work (For those of you who don't know, he was working 60-80 hours a week for 4 months straight. It was nuts). What a sweetie!

Don't mind this ugly picture of me. It was a no makeup & yoga pants kind of day.
